Nittany Day 2: Campsite bro sesh the previous night left everyone feeling a little fried (not to mention a suspect bed bug scare in the cabins). Ultimately Shawn’s bachelor party weekend was a success. I rolled two tubulars on the front of the race, pitted and raced back into the top 15.
Nittany Day 1: Sort of the beginning of what would become a frustrating pattern of mediocre results and a string of bad luck for my racing season. But as always, stoked to be hanging and racing with friends and feeling lucky to be able to travel and see strange little snippets of the east coast every weekend. Cesar won the 3/4 race and I couldn’t close gaps and pedaled in for 9th.

This was one of those rare situations that Mr. Berden missed the podium. He very graciously allowed me to make a few images muddy face and all.
Nittany Lion Cross Day 2: Saturday night we crammed most of our team and some friends into a couple of KOA cabins and woke up early, again, to race a wet, muddy course. The rain did hold off for most of the day and by the time the afternoon races began the course was super fun - tacky and predictable compared to the day before. Crazy to think how unbelievably hot this course was last year.
