Oh I usually can’t unless I mentally prepare myself which is exactly why I’m kinda super irritated right now.
I didn’t mentally prepare myself I was just trying to get one of the special endings that doesn’t require the animatronics to be around. So the fact I got the Baby jumpscare in a way that shouldn’t happen has me a bit more than a little annoyed.
For context for anyone that hasn’t played this game there’s 2 way to get animatronics to come in and pester you: you salvage them for spare parts of they sneak in through a large item you bought. I didn’t buy any large items and you don’t get a chance to salvage an animatronic until after the tutorial night (and the one after the tutorial isn’t even Baby). So yeah according to the rules of the game my chance of jumpscares should have been 0% and yet it still happened.
I don’t know the game glitched somehow or this is some cute little thing Scott added to the patch the game got (it wouldn’t surprise me this is some elaborate punishment he added for skipping past the opening cut scene…) but either way I don’t want to mess around with this game ever again if its going to pull that on me.
