the depression i'm going through isn't something i'd wish on my worst enemy 🙁 and this stuff hurts when you know all you have is love to give so why does the world keep on being so harsh and cruel to you

i'm not particularly suicidal but what's the point if all i'm gonna feel is temporary happiness and permanent hurt?

It’s really hard when your world feels smaller than everyone else’s. When you have to think twice before doing simple things, when decisions aren’t fully yours, when you feel like you are always asking for permission just to exist a little more freely. You watch others move easily, make spontaneous plans, explore who they are, and you are left feeling stuck, like you are living within invisible boundaries.

It can be frustrating, but also quietly lonely. You might feel misunderstood, like parts of you don’t get the space to grow. You may hold back your thoughts, your interests, your choices, because it’s easier than facing conflict or disappointment. And over time, that can make you feel smaller, like you are shrinking yourself to fit into something you didn’t choose.

If you are in that place, it makes sense that you would feel restless or sad. Wanting room to breathe, to decide things for yourself, to experience life in your own way, those are natural needs. There’s nothing wrong with you for wanting more space, more trust, more freedom to be yourself.

Even if things feel limited right now, the person you are isn’t limited. Your thoughts, your personality, your dreams, they are still yours, quietly growing even in tight spaces. This phase won’t define your entire life, even if it feels long. There will be moments, slowly, where you get to step into more of your own choices.

Until then, be gentle with the version of you that’s trying to grow in a place that feels restrictive. It’s not easy. But you are still becoming yourself, even here. And that matters. 🤍

My alarm goes off like a personal attack a noise that says, “Congrats, your freedom’s been revoked” I hit snooze with the passion of a rebel but capitalism always wins

I put on pants I don’t emotionally support drink coffee strong enough to raise the dead and log in to a system that crashes daily Yet somehow expects me to be reliable

My inbox breeds overnight like rabbits each email marked “URGENT”, they’re lying meetings about meetings about future meetings Truly a performance art piece called “Work”

I nod a lot, I say “circle back” I type “per my last email” with rage in my soul my dreams have been replaced by spreadsheets and my personality by a calendar reminder

But one day, oh yes one glorious day I’ll quit with grace, or maybe a dramatic chair spin Until then, I remain bravely employed hating my job, on company time
