Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of homemade Nutella, but with a healthier twist. This version uses natural ingredients and is free from artificial additives, making it a guilt-free chocolate spread.
Ingredients: 1 cup of raw hazelnuts. 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup. 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. Place the unroasted hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them for ten to twelve minutes, or until they become aromatic and their skins begin to split. After taking the hazelnuts out of the oven, allow them to cool a little. To get rid of the loose skins, rub them between your hands or a fresh kitchen towel. Put the roasted hazelnuts in a food processor and process until they form a buttery smooth consistency. Please be patient as this might take a few minutes. In the food processor, add the salt, vanilla extract, coconut oil, cocoa powder, and pure maple syrup to the hazelnut butter. Blend until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture has the consistency of a creamy chocolate spread. Taste the homemade Nutella and add more salt or maple syrup if necessary to suit your preferred level of sweetness or saltiness. The homemade Nutella that is healthier can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks by transferring it to a clean, airtight container. Spread it on toast made with whole grains, dip fruit into it, or incorporate it into your preferred recipes.
