The Moon’s Nodes
Looking at the Nodes in the natal chart, you can gain insight into your unique spiritual path. The South Node shows areas in which we are familiar, where we came from. The North Node shows areas to grow into, where we are going. The sign and house of the nodes gives details into a path to pursue, areas to focus on.
When there is a planet conjunct the North Node, there is an emphasis on the path being taken in this life, and often it relates to the planet in which it is connected. When a planet conjuncts the South Node, depending on the planet, the person may experience falling back into old karmic patterns. Squares to the Nodes often indicate obstacles to be overcome, growth is to be made, integration is the challenge. I feel trines and sextiles to the nodes would indicate harmonious supportive energies into the path pursued.
In Synastry, I have noticed prominent North/South Node aspect patterns in fated relationships, with family, teachers, lovers, friends. They’re really insightful in synastry and composite charts. If another’s planet conjuncts your North Node, perhaps that person will be a push on your Divine path. If someone’s planet or point conjuncts your South Node, they may feel familiar to you, and depending on the planet, it can also mean they can active old karmic patterns within you.
Getting to know your Nodal placements can give a lot of insight into the karmic patterns you are carrying, and areas you can push towards growth.
