“ It’s the basis of all human fears; a closed door, slightly ajar.” for des..
i think it was about vampires originally
Des sighs softly, one large hand cupping his cheek. There was no need for him to hold human form, no need for either of them to in each other’s company. Des did it simply because he liked it. The God could not say as to why Bec did, and he did not ask. It didn’t really matter, did it? How little it all mattered, when you could close your eyes and see everything that ever was, to see how it was before, how it is now, and how it will eventually be?
And yet Des tried not to think in such ways. He tried not to think about how little each passing event mattered, how little time each world had. How he could almost fully suppress his powers and not have to think in infinity. But oh, he could look at any one person and see, laid out before them,
POINT A
And what could he do? God of Fate as he was, was it not he who put these points before each person, who wrote each story with its highs and lows, wrote in the character arcs each person would have, be they good or ill? Could he not change them, if those who prayed were devout, or those evil needed punished?
Oh, but morality was nothing but a tangled mess for a God. For without evil, how can there be good? Without failure, how can one feel triumph? Without loss... How can there be love?
A soft click of his tongue, that sweet, soft smile graces his features. Let this not be a topic of philosophy. Let this game be put on hold, if only for a moment. He speaks, voice bubbling with laughter just under the surface.
“I thought it was spiders.”
