Menace Beach by Nolis

On his most recent visit to the west coast, the immensely talented, Chicago based photographer Nolis Anderson & I got it crackin' out in Venice with an effortless beach shoot. So often, I can be very awkward & uncomfortable in-front of the camera, but somehow Nolis worked through it and captured some of my favorite portraits to date.

To compensate for my discomfort shooting, I usually over-glam with the hair and make-up, but the beach ate through that in less than 15 mins. Needless to say, I'm really glad it did, because the easy and natural aesthetic that's happening in these images is what make them some of my favorites.
