Hi. I have returned from nonexistence, come with a [SPECIAL DEAL]: A new term!
Mutonominal
A term derived from Mutogender, it is a form of Namefluid (Nomifluid).
A mutonominal individual might use different names when present in different situations or audiences.
Who Can Use It?
Someone who has a stage name and a legal name might consider themselves mutonominal.
A therian who has a different name for being around fellow alterhumans and a name they use in normal contexts can also consider themselves mutonominal.
Someone who uses different nicknames with different groups can also consider themselves such.
Mutonominal is not a queer exclusive term, and although "someone who uses nicknames" might work for some people, this functions as a suitable alternative for those for whom it might not work.
Some Examples of How This Term is Helpful
Scenario A: A system that uses different names when an alter is fronting can call themselves multinominal if they are in a situation where it is not safe or practical for them to disclose their plurality.
Scenario B: A name horder collects names for situational use, but being called the wrong name in the wrong context causes them dysphoria. Or they might also be fraynominal and using different names in different situations helps prevent detachment from a name they like. Multinominal helps them explain that they have names for situations, and then outline what situation the name is applicable.
Scenario C: Some with imposter syndrome or detachment of self might have different "masks" for situations. Taking on a different name to seperate them from the imposter may be their way of coping, and this allows a term to explain that without going into details they do not feel comfortable disclosing.
Regarding The Flag...
If I were to make a flag, I would honestly want to redesign the name symbol with some community input because, at the moment, the symbol is just a black heart, which feels very...lacking. Most of the name flags are, actually, as they just borrow colours from sexualities (like pannominal is just the pansexual colours), which might make sense for romantic alignments because they're both categories of terms to indicate one's attraction, but it doesn't really make sense for names.
Beyond this point is an explanation for the lack of a flag and my lack of activity despite my request queue.
