I don’t want people to comment looking good or smart in this post. Read the entire post before you comment because it isn’t an appreciation post. I am looking straight into the face of our so called leaders and I am talking to them, I am not smiling, I am angry. Everyday a girl or woman is tortured, raped, beaten, or killed in this country. When the events have occurred, we post hashtags and do candle marches. Everyday numerous of rapes happen and then you blame us, yet again the accountability is on us; we excite the male genes with our naval, thighs, knees, cleavage, and bare hands. The male genes are forgiven and forgotten by saying “garam khoon hai”. And even if they are not forgiven, they are given chances to plea innocent, how insane can you be to give demons like these plea chances and drop the onus on the constitution? Constitutional rights are valid for those who are humans, these men aren’t humans. And dare you tag any other rape victim as Nirbhaya, she has a name. Call her Jyoti, call her Priyanka; they aren’t your daughters and neither are we. We are not Nirbhayas, we are afraid to even walk freely in this country at broad daylight, let alone going out at night. We feel hungry eyes squirming through our bodies. We feel unsafe and scared all the time. The law enforcement and police system are not doing their work of providing basic security to us because maximum of the force is filled with people who enjoy asking post rape disgraceful and disgusting questions to the victims parents and to the victims if she has survived, once she has been physically raped and now she is being mentally raped. I don’t care which political party is ruling but India as a country is failing. And how can you delay such cases? These cases should have a spot decision with no provision to lawyer. Hang them, instil a fear in them the way they do to us. Send a message. The day this country stops blaming our clothes, that day we shall attain Independence. As we all are fond of hashtags, let me start one. Use #indiaunsafeforme and share your protest. Make it a roar for justice. #unsafeindia #justiceforpriyanka #nomorerapes #notyourbeti #protest @theprintindia @thewirein (at Pune, Maharashtra) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5j3JcfhfXC/?igshid=12on6vf608cky
