Fantasy creatures to consider for Halloween while the mainstream monsters are on vacation:
Alan - This one is more disgusting, but isn’t that what Halloween about? It’s a creature from the Philippines that is not really malevolent, but it steals reproductive waste and uses it to make children.
Oni - A large, red Japanese troll-like Yokai that carries a club.
Aswang - Another Filipino one. Feeds on dead bodies.
Drop Bear - A huge koala that drops from a tree to land on it’s prey.
Kappa - A Japanese water Yokai that likes to attack people.
Erlking - The malevolent king of the Fae.
Futakuchi-Onna - A Japanese woman with a large mouth on the back of her head.
Each Uisce - A Scottish water horse much meaner than the Kelpie and waaaaay cooler than the unicorn. They don’t play games when it comes to food.
Blemmyae - Headless men with faces in their torsos.
