Different Types of Bras
There are many different types of bras available on the market but what do they actually mean, no one knows truly.
Nowadays with online market and all these bras available online, the knowledge is vast as well as confusing.
According to the Standards, the type of Bras depends on what factor you are considering, for example in terms of padding, there can be 3 options- Non-Padded, Lightly Padded, and Heavily Padded.
So I have 5 factors and their types-
Wiring
UnderWired Bras
Non-Wired Bras
2, Padding
Non-Padded Bras
Lightly Padded Bras
Heavily Padded Bras
Pushup Bras
3. Coverage
Full Coverage
Medium Coverage
Half Coverage
4. Shape
Balconette
Tube
Plunge
Halter
Bandeau
Stick-on
Strapless
5. Purpose
Beginner
Sports
Maternity
T-Shirt
Full Cover/Full Figure
Minimizer
These are the characteristics that can be combined together for the desired bra, for example, A Non-Wired, Non-Padded, full coverage teenager Bra. Or a non-wired, non-padded full coverage cotton bra.
But here’s the trick. You can’t always combine all the characteristics together. Because there is nothing like a half coverage minimizer bra. The minimizer bra is always fully covered. Or a bandeau sports bra because bandeau is not meant for sports and also the sports bra fabric is entirely different.
So There is no single formula that can be combined together to define bras. Each type of bra serves a different purpose.
Apart from these, there can be some more features like fabric (Cotton bras, Nylon Bras, polyester Bras), Opening (Front open, back open or side open), Back style (racerback, transparent back, regular back, etc)
So this is all that I want to say about bras. For big bust sizes, I prefer Non padded, Non wired Full coverage bras. If you buy bras in combo, you can save a huge amount!
