Hello ~

Ok i'm sure I'm extremely late to the train but i love your OCs abd i was wondering, will Nico and co be part of a comic or novel ore something comprehensive?

Hi!! No such thing as late, there is constant OCposting here! I looove getting messages about them and getting to talk about them 🖤 I’m not sure if there will be something totally comprehensive with them because mostly me and @slamncram like…RP them.

Like it’s mostly all chronological and we have a continuous overarching plot that everyone’s stories tie into. But because half the characters are mine and half are hers, half the writing is mine and half is hers etc it gets a little complicated.

Someday I do hope to draw out more of it as a comic directly transcribed from our RP threads, and @slamncram is an incredible writer so if she ever wanted to write some more novel-type-structured stuff of them I’d fully support it. Nothing is impossible!

🖊️ mylo and jesse

Mylo de Vries is 28, born in Utrecht in the Netherlands but moved to England when he was in his teens for his parents’ work. When they moved back home they left him their house because he felt settled there. He’s a free spirit in that way, doesn’t NEED to work but bartends at a pub and a gay club, the pub being how he meets Jesse.

He’s friendly but it’s never anything deeper, he likes to chat and find out more about people but doesn’t like giving up much of himself. He’s touch averse because in canon he hears people’s thoughts/reads their emotions through skin-to-skin contact. He doesn’t get attached easily, and while he has many “friends”, until Jesse comes along he didn’t really let people IN aside from his parents. Also, extremely nosy and reckless, doesn’t know about minding his own business or thinking before doing stupid things. He’s a bit vain - mostly it’s all self confidence - but he also tries to make the people he cares about take some of that on about themselves.

Even though he has abilities he never really let himself get caught up in what our main antagonist is up to. He NEARLY got sucked in when he was trying to figure out why he was hearing voices, but was led away from the people trying to lure him into a trap by an anonymous person who, a long while later, they discover was Jesse.

He gets on really well in our AUs with Ezra, Nico, Kian, Cor, River and Des. And Jesse, obviously. Always Jesse, the first person who finally made him stop and think “maybe I could let someone in.”

Jesse MacKay is 34, Scottish, 5’11 (basically same height as Mylo), heavily tattooed including full sleeves, neck and hands. He’s a professional artist (painter, traditional). In general Jesse is hard to get along with. He comes off as grouchy, sometimes mean, because he’s blunt and doesn’t really care about dancing around anyone’s feelings even when he should. Basically if he doesn’t have to say anything at all, he won’t. He prefers to talk as little as possible and he isn’t a very social person. Underneath it he’s sweet, though, and he’s a deeply good person, which shows through whether he wants it to or not.

When Jesse was younger, he had a relationship with another man, which he tried to hide from his family. When they found out, they pretty much disowned him and he moved away. Since then he has tried to avoid relationships altogether and definitely has some repression issues with his sexuality.

Mylo ends up being the perfect person to befriend him because Mylo blows past all Jesse’s walls pretty quickly. They get close fairly fast and each of them are the first person the other has really “let in” in a very long time. Jesse gets protective of Mylo almost immediately, and puts up with Mylo’s incessant flirting because even if it takes him a long time to admit it, he really likes Mylo.

In any spare time he gets Jesse is trying to help other people (always anonymously) just because it’s what’s right.

Byrne is @slamncram ‘s so I asked her to write some stuff about him and here it is 🧡

James “Byrne” Kelly is 32 years old, Irish, 5’8”. Super street smart, charming when he wants to be, very principled despite the fact that he’s a con artist, but he’s got a bit of a temper and some self esteem issues. Hates his first name, thinks it’s too generic, so gave himself his nickname. He’s just sort of a DUDE, really, but he’s also kind of the mother hen of our little group of OCs. He’s always trying to make sure everyone is all right and taken care of, and cares a lot even if the way he shows it is a little off sometimes.

In canon he and River are BFFs from a young age. When River goes missing Byrne is basically the only one who keeps looking for him, and it’s through that search that he meets Ezra. The two of them are basically polar opposites but while working together they gain a mutual respect and Byrne falls head over heels for Ezra, which is something he never really experienced before.

He’s also a decent singer, so in a few of our other AUs he fronts a band that is usually opposite to Nico’s. One of our AUs he and Kian were in a band together a long time before but had a big falling out, and when the story picks up that background plays a significant role.

He was the first OC created for this group after Ezra, back in March 2020. Thank lockdown for Byrne.

🖊️Nico!

Nico my beloved! Nicolai Shone is 25 years old, Welsh, 5'6.5" (but tells people he's 5'7"). He has a good singing voice (in our band au he is a lead singer, in our "canon" he is a music journalist) and he likes reading. Nico is good at getting along with people but he's also pretty manipulative, though often without meaning to be. In our "canon" universe (aka the one we started writing in 2020 and invented these characters for) he has sort of mind control powers where he can influence people to do things, but he has to be touching their skin.

If you’re still doing the ask thing 🖊️ Cor or Ezra?

I AM still doing it, happily! Honestly it's really nice to get to talk about the OCs. I'll talk about Ezra and get @slamncram to talk about Cor. Sorry in advance because Ezra was the first OC I created for all this and I'm so insane about him. Ezra Devonshire is 29 years old, English, 6'1" tall. He looks dignified and put-together, and dresses well in high-quality clothing. However, Ezra is incredibly socially awkward, and tends to panic when pushed into social situations he's not comfortable in. He's also a bit of a snob, with a tendency to look down on people sometimes even if he doesn't realize he's doing it. In our canon, he starts off as a sort of administrative assistant to the Main Antagonist. Ezra idolizes this man, and has feelings for him, so he's been sort of blind to the shadier stuff Main Antagonist is getting up to. It turns out later that their backstory goes a lot deeper, and that Ezra used to work alongside him and has been forced to lose those memories, but we haven't completely delved into that yet. Ezra meets Byrne because the organization run by Main Antagonist fronts as doing independent investigations, and Byrne is looking for River, who went missing, and nobody but Byrne is looking for him. Because at heart Ezra is a good person, he can't turn Byrne down and agrees to (secretly) help him look for River (because Ezra isn't supposed to take on investigations but he can't say no). Throughout them working together, Ezra starts to clue in that he's working for the bad guy, and switches sides while still basically staying at his job, but more undercover to get more information. Main Antagonist is the one behind all the kidnappings and Ezra decides he wants to help take him down. This is all going on and in the meantime Byrne completely falls for Ezra and it takes Ezra way too long to realize that HE has fallen for BYRNE and it's soooo...!!! ALSO Ezra has a lot of power - the people being kidnapped are all being taken because of their telekinetic, mindreading etc abilities, and Ezra has a LOT of those. He could do full-on mind control if he wanted to, but he's been forced to forget he has these abilities to basically be a weapon in storage for the Big Bad, always at his disposal, so when Ezra uses his "talents" at first he doesn't realize he's doing it. ANYWAY *** Cor, according to @slamncram :

Corbin “Cor” Taylor is 29, from Yorkshire, and the tallest of our OCs at 6’3”. He’s an arsehole and proud of it, abrasive and aggressive but it’s mostly swagger, not a condition of his personality. He’s smart, but impulsive, a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Cor’s hair is naturally a dirty, sandy blonde, but he bleaches it. He has a lot of tattoos, almost all black and white floral, on his arms and chest, and down onto his hands and fingers. His only colour piece is the red rose on the left side of his neck. When he was younger Cor used to break into people’s homes, steal, and boost luxury cars and race them. He knew how to hotwire vehicles by the age of 12, and was running with gangs by the time he was 15. He’d get into fights and was just generally a nuisance, on a bad path that his sister, Emily, tried hard to keep him off. She didn’t manage, though, and he did end up getting caught and charged and spent a few years in prison. While he was in, he was found by our main antagonist who promised to give him a “purpose” and get him out. The reason for this is that Cor makes a good dog, does what he’s told… and is immune to the abilities of most of the people the antagonist has been kidnapping. Cor gets put in charge of Nico which is basically just a good time for him. He absolutely is more of a dick than Nico deserves but gradually he starts to get attached to his “charge”. He’s VERY protective of Nico despite being employed by the Big Bad. Eventually something happens that snaps Cor’s loyalty to the boss and he gives in to the fact that he cares about and wants to help Nico. Cor was ACTUALLY originally created for a band AU in which he’s a guitarist. In almost all iterations, he either was or is a barber as well, because it suits him and also he has few employment opportunities with jobstoppers. One last fun fact about Cor… he has both nipples pierced. Because why not? ***
