Indie comic most read reccomendations
So I sometimes like to call attention to other creators I like whom I feel deserve more recognition. In the world of indie comics, it pays to help one another out.

By Sam Bragg
First on the list is Wyvern spell: I am not gonna spoil anything (just read the summaries) but this is a fantastic comic about dragons and wyverns, as well as a favorite of mine.About a Wyvern who gets captured by dragons as part of a greater sceheme in this conflict of theirs.
Interesting story, likable characters, and it actually knows how to keep a balanced tone and focus on its main characters. Story focus and pacing is an important thing.

No North is another great one and long time favorite of mine since 2021. Basically, its a western/mystery about a pair of dogs (Steban and Martin) who meet and who end up investigating a mystery surrounding a town called Odd Wind, where dogs have been vanishing for year,s apparently as part of a "curse". (take a look, its super interesting and the art is amazing, characters are likable, etc) I escpailly love Steban.
The real standout I think is the artstyle, its so expressive and pretty to look at. Great art is always an easy sell for me to like something and this one surpsasses that expecations with flying colors.
Rien, a mother and herbalist facing intolerance, tries to rebuild her family home after the loss of her husband.
By Ann Maulina
This is a slice-of-life comic about a mage who lost her husband in an (as of yet) unspecified accident that also caused one of her two young sons to suffer amnesia and have to start relearning things.
Basically, its about how a famliy copes and bonds and heals through trauma, as well as just family life in general(like say a mother trying to raise her sons). Its also a fantasy, which I love. Its a really heartwarming and beautifully drawn(and told) story, and has some interesting world-building. Fantastic art and I love the characters too.
Definitely go read it

by the Van Arsdale Siblings
This is a fantasy comic about a young girl named Kypper who gets adopted by the queen of her realm after finding some of her secrets and ends up learning alot more the queen and her own destiny. (again my summaries do no justice, go have a read. The story has alot characters and lore and such to cover I can't quite summarize in brief)
It's a great comic. I loved the cartoon art style and characters and expression for one thing, those were all unique and done well. Its knows how to strike a balance between light and darker stuff without going overboard in one direction (perfectly balanced really)
What I really like is how there is alot of interesting lore and story that reveals itself as the story goes on (like with Kypper learning her powers and more of the queen's, Andora, history.
Be sure to give it a read.
Wolf Moon by Forest Panic
Again, another one where its story is a bit complex, you should read the summary on the sight and not just go off my summary alone for info.
But as best as I can put it: its about a wolf named Tamara, who has magic in a time where others with magic are lost, dealing with an evil wolf pack who wants to erradicate all they deem "impure" (kind of reminds me of Guardians: Owls of Ga-hoole in some ways) as well as overcoming her personal issues (same with others in the cast)
Anyways, it was going to be an animated series but its now a comic; still in early phases but Forest is a super good artist, and the story is shaping up to be epic. Art looks great, too.
Personally, I love the fantasy apporach with Wolves, thats super cool. I even got this cool art piece(a comission ) from her:
Definitely go support her (and these other artists)
