This vegan tattoo ink that you make at home is a safe and animal-friendly alternative to store-bought ink. The deep black color comes from activated charcoal, and the vodka keeps it fresh. Glycerin helps the skin keep its moisture, and agar agar gives it a gel-like texture that makes it easy to apply.
Ingredients: 1/4 cup activated charcoal powder. 1/4 cup vodka. 1/4 tsp glycerin. 1/4 tsp agar agar powder.
Instructions: In a small bowl, mix the vodka and activated charcoal powder until they are well mixed. Adding glycerin and stirring it in well is important. Add agar agar powder to a different small saucepan and heat it over low heat. Once the agar agar is completely broken down, add it to the charcoal mixture and mix it quickly. Take a moment to let the mixture cool down to room temperature. Using a funnel, move the ink into a clean ink bottle. At this point, your vegan tattoo ink is free to use.
