Berlin, May 8th 2019 Thanks to @catbacklash for posting this meme in memory of Carl Crack! His words are so important in our time. They remain true. Carl Crack was an amazing artist and the media has offen portrayed him as this ‘violent crazy drug addict who eventually died of an overdose’. Which is sensational garbage of course. Carl’s music and lyrics never fit their narrative. Rarely any album review mentioned these ideas. Carl knew that violence is a disease that can take over any person’s life when they are being put in a certain environment. That’s not an excuse, it is an explanation. Learn to know where your line is, when something inside switches from ‘non-violent’ to ‘violent’. When you control that, it will be very difficult for others to manipulate you, trick you into doing something you’ll regret later. Today we remember 8th of May 1945 when the Nazis were defeated, and the World War II ended. When you understand that you have to control your own life and stand up against tyranny, you are less likely to become complicit in it.
