I can’t sleep, and i don’t really know why. My mind is going crazy in thoughts.
It's scary to see a lot of people I knew in high school going out, getting married, and having kids
And then there's me; at 23 in my spiderman pajamas at noon I'm pretty happy about this
Hey my fantastic 14 followers. I’m starting a daily doodle marathon (until I get sick of it) to try to reinvest myself in art. Wish me luck.
Gentle reminder. People are not obligated to smile for you. Now I'm pretty friendly at work. That's just how I am. But when it's busy and you complain because you didn't receive 100% service because your server wasn't friendly... really? Oh, excuse me, did you come here to be friends? No. Eat your damn sandwich.
Okay, I know I’m a cranky turtle that sometimes doesn’t understand big words, but some limp noodle in my Kinesiology class tried to tell me that people shouldn’t feel so “entitled” to having perfect health (we’re talking about joint replacement surgery)
It's probably just how he phrased it, but I don't like the term "everyone feels entitled to being healed from an injury or disease." I mean, why shouldn't they be entitled to not be in pain and be able to be active in their life? I feel like the US is a big part of the problem when it comes to the standard for living. There are so many people that choose to suffer to the point of death through perfectly treatable illnesses because they either can't afford it. Joint replacements fall under this umbrella. I'm not a professional, I have no idea how safe it is to have multiple joint replacements, especially at an older age.
Obviously there's a point where the surgery would be too risky and wouldn’t be worth the money or pain. But doctors KNOW this. If money wasn’t such an issue, I feel that healthcare professionals would be able to make more accurate decisions based on the clients health and not on their economic status.
Rant over.
