I wanna talk about Will's space posters in journey of dreams because I am so very normal about outer space as you are about to see
Let's take a closer look.....
I 💁♀️ knew immediately the top poster is from Voyager 1's flyby of Saturn [ not the sega system (^; ] and it's moons. Like I pointed and shouted "VOYAGER IMAGE" at the tv, my girlfriend can attest to this
Its a mosiac so each image was taken separately then pieced together to make this nice graphic.
But the galaxy image was a lot more tricky, seeing as I don't have galaxy images memorized like how I do with Voyager images
BUT I FIGURED IT OUT. BEHOLD, MESSIER 31, OUR NEIGHBOR ANDROMEDA
This image is typically paired with this Spitzer Space Telescope infrared image
The first image being what we would see when looking at Andromeda, and the infrared being, well, in infrared.
As for the comet...
I'm at a bit of a loss. I've been trying to find the exact source of this exact image but all I've come close to are pictures of comets that COULD be this comet. Comet Holmes and Comet Hyakutake both share the blue-green colouring that this particular comet has, but the tail on Holmes is too short, and the one on Hyakutake is too long. So this comet remains a mystery for now....
WAIT OKAY I ALMOST HIT POST BUT I REALIZED THERES MORE TO THE POSTER
The lamp is covering it so this is a HUGE guess, but that light streak screams Pale Blue Dot to me. But that's also be being biased towards Voyager.
There's also another picture next to Saturn's family, but thats I have no guesses as to what it could be
I think its likely this is a real poster that exists in the real world, so definitive answers to my unknowns will be revealed to me one day.... but for now enjoy the effort I have gone through WILLINGLY to try and find the sources
