Meetups: how to find us
We've had some new people join us recently, and I realize it might be intimidating or confusing to try to find a group of people in person who you don't know how to recognize offline. If we have missed anyone, my apologies! Here's how to find us at a meetup:
If I'm there (hi -- this is Mars here), I will bring a deerstalker and put it on the table. (Sometimes it's hard to see, it's sort of squashed at this point.)
I often bring nametag stickers. Look for people with stickers.
If you are at a meetup and can’t find anyone, shoot an email to our Google group. Most of our communication happens on this group, especially on the day of an event -- please do join up!
You can also post on Twitter and tag our @norcalsherlock account. Someone is usually watching either Twitter or email. Unfortunately we are not usually checking this Tumblr account during meetups. (I’ll try to be better about that.)
Hope this helps! We want to find you and totally understand that it can be awkward to walk up to a group of random people. Hope to see you next time.
