The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) is hiring over 100 lifeguards for the summer 2016 pool season. Public safety is our top priority, so all NORDC lifeguards are required to have a lifeguard certification. Lifeguard applications are available at the NORDC Milne Campus at 5420 Franklin Avenue or on online at nordc.org/jobs. The application deadline for the summer season is April 8, 2016.

NORDC lifeguards must be at least 16 years old. The base wage is $11.38 per hour for 40hour work week. Lifeguards are on duty during pool hours, which include mornings, mid-day, evenings and weekends.
