⚡️ News from Nordens Ark: the fluffy daughters of Loesje and Thomas now have names and a fiance!

🔆 Let’s start with the fiance!

This spring, a young Finnish heartthrob named Qatti-Matti — well known to many of you — arrived from Korkeasaari Zoo to his new home at Nordens Ark! (1st photo). 

For now, Qatti-Matti is living off-exhibit.

🔆 And now — the names!

Meet them:

💚 In the second photo, you’ll see the grumpy gaze of manuless Duchess.

🧡 And in the third— the beautiful Toulouse.

Both names come from characters in Disney’s The Aristocats (1970).

In this way, they carry on the tradition of their magnificent manul father Thomas O'Malley, who was also named after a character from the same film 🙌🏻

Took this photo of this beautiful Sibirien tiger (amurtiger) male at @nordensark today. I normally am against all forms of zoo's, but this place is amazing. This park is only for endagerad animals. They work to get these animals back out in the wild again with conservation programs and breeding programs. And they have enormous enclosures so the animals can avoid visitors if they want to. Of course I would love to see these beautiful animals back in the wild and not in an enclosure. But this is for a good cause. And hopefully this can help the tigers and other animals to no longer be endangered in the future. Support organization's like these that actually helps these beautiful creatures instead of going to a normal zoo who ears money on animals is small enclosures. # biodiversitet #endangered #sibiriantiger #naturephotography #tiger #nordensark #savetheanimals
