having Iceland live with the nordics polycule for freeloading and entertainment purposes is one of the smartest moves I ever made because he will invite his queer platonic partners Hongkong and Liechtenstein over for a movie night but there’s no film to watch they just sit at the kitchen table with hot beverages while watching the chaos that is Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway combined unfold around them.

Headcannons for what each of the nordics “type” is?

With both sfw and nsfw headcannons please 🙏

They are all each other’s type that’s why I like shoving all four of them together like barbie dolls and make them kiss :)

But I guess you want a slightly more detailed answer than that lol so here’s some thoughts that I focus on when writing any nordic ship

Denmark: acts like his type is someone cute and pliable that he can be dominant with, but what he NEEDS is someone who knows how to turn the tables and make him submit, but he’s not making it easy for them. Denmark WANTS the FIGHT before he gives in to his partner 😩💕 He misses the Viking times, or actually just the roughness and brutishness. Back then he couldn’t afford losing or letting any of his opponents win, but now that he has the safety he needs, Denmark is comfortable to let others guide him and give him orders. The cold thrill of being treated like a toy, being used and abused is still so new to him but he’s very willing to try things out and very compliant if his partner can keep up with him trying his and their limits as well.

Sweden: his type is someone who is persistent and talkative, he needs someone who is very present but without constantly overruling him.. does that make sense? He WANTS TO BE ASKED to go out on dates or to indulge in new kinks, especially when it comes to sexual things. Sweden wants to be seduced. He turns into a stuttering mess when he tries to actively propose something he would like to try. It's a lot easier for him when his partner has the ability to more or less read his mind - if one knows how to read Sweden's subtile body language and acts up on it too, this man is hooked. And hopefully his partner too because once you get past the layers protecting Sweden's soft core, he's the most loving and sweet partner one could imagine and he needs someone who cherishes that he let's them see this side of himself. 🥰💕

Finland: tbh I headcanon him to be pansexual and if you're down to fuck and a nice person you're probably his type. Finland is not picky, at least not when it comes to picking people up when he's out at a bar or a concert. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO RELATIONSHIPS now that's a whole different story. Getting into Finland's bed is easy and becoming his friend is also quite manageable, but the way to his heart is tough. His type is someone who can give back as much love as he gives them. He knows that different people have different ways of showing they care, but what counts for him is that he doesn't want to feel as if he's putting energy into something that is not worth it. Regarding sex Finland happily puts his all into a one night stand because it's nothing more than that and it's the moment that counts 👀 but when it comes to long term arrangement he can't keep offering his all to someone who's not willing to return that favour. ❤

Norway: I don't think he wants to admit it, but his type is someone who makes him feel needed. Norway is a lot more loving and caring than people give him credit for and it's easier to pretend you don't care, but in reality Norway has a sensitive side to him and it hurts him to be referred to as heartless or cold. 😔 The same goes for his sexual needs. He needs a partner who is responsive to what he does. Doesn't have to be vocal, but he loves seeing them become undone, turning into a mess. moaning, begging arching, into his touch... Norway wants confirmation that heis the one who can make someone feel SO GOOD AND LOVED. Especially during rougher sessions he pays close attention to his partner, manages to see through the curses and tears to find a look in their eyes that says 'I need you'. 💖

In the Nordics polycule this would be a rare sight usually it’s Denmark who generously offers himself as a free to use hole or Sweden but he would never mention it anywhere outside of their bedroom but Finland using marathon sex to clear his head just forgetting about everything around him while his partners get to share him around for the night.. so true

I once made a post about my headcanons for a nordics orgy but today I thought OH MY GOD ✨NORDICS POLYCULE✨

Basically it would be DenNor x SuFin but each of the couples they build has a slightly different relationship dynamic. It’s all about having needs that can only be satisfied by one specific person here (be it sexually or romantically or just generally).

SuFin: Do I have to explain anything about them? Relationship goals. Wholesome and sweet with each other. Husbands.

DenNor: Same as above, is there anything I have to say? They are boyfriends. Maybe fiancés. May not look like it but are a very balanced couple.

But now to the fun part: the dynamic between each of the couples in the polycule 🥰💕✨

DenSu: Finland and Norway aren’t sure what exactly connects Denmark and Sweden but it works for them. These two together? Lots of energy, like a hurricane. Sweden doesn’t seem like it but he’s a force of nature and Denmark is the only one who he trusts will still stand after the storm. They are passionate and animalistic, feral even when they let themselves go completely. The kind of couple that wrestles each other to get things out of their system then fuck in the shower afterwards.

SuNor: When these two get together you know it will be an expensive night. Be it high-end food, clothes, or having to pay for damaged hotel property the next morning, Norway and Sweden indulge in things that their partners just don’t appreciate so they happily let them go on hour long dinner dates where during dessert the tension is already thick enough to be cut with a knife. But it’s only when they are alone that the real game starts, because they will play with almost anything. Toys, costumes, gender presentation and whatever else they can think of. It’s something that Sweden only starts to explore with Norway.

DenFin: When these two are together they leave all their brain cells at the doorstep. Sweden and Norway might never understand what they get out of it, but if you leave Finland and Denmark alone at the end of the night you will find them high, drunk, naked, sometimes covered in body paint, chocolate, or honey,… They might not always be able to recall the entirety of the evening but know it was a good one when they wake up on top of each other, ready for a sloppy [whatever-number-they-were-at] morning round.

FinNor: Like Denmark and Sweden, Finland and Norway trust each other deeply and express feelings to each other that the others can’t understand in the way they do. They are not as violent about it tho, these two are very soft with each other. It’s all big hugs and cuddles, sleepy kisses with a long forgotten movie playing in the background, quiet giggles and gasps and moans as if they have to keep their encounters a secret. Except for when they go out to concerts together. Then it’s screaming to the music, hard liquor from the bottle and a quickie in the car or a dirty bathroom stall.

With Finland, any non SuFin ships you enjoy? + Any hcs (sfw or nsfw) you have for said ships?

I ship the nordics as a polycule (except for Iceland who is like the token ace guy who lives in their house) so I would put DenFin and NorFin on top of my list.

I also like EstFin as friends with benefits who aren't sure where the border between hooking up as friends and hooking up as lovers is or was crossed, but at this point neither dares to bring it up so they just have fun while this lasts. Also SuFinEst where SuFin invite Estonia for a threesome has to be one of my fav things. I read a fic once and loved it ever since.

Another ship I like is FinRus. The more fucked up and/or toxic the better tbh. I want them to hurt and bleed and scream and fuck and moan. If Finland tops and Russia cries because it's so good that's *chefs kiss*. Everything I could ever ask for.
