can I see the pics you and noribouu use as icons on your nolan and evan's blogs? pleaseeee 8D
Since this is about Nori’s art, I’m gonna ask that you ask her. Her work is amazing and she should get more props.

OMG! Yes! I love Nori's work :) So, do their personalities were also changed? Which one are you? Nolan? Long time since I read some of your rps and I don't know what's going on :(
Nori’s work is absolutely fantastic! I think her art has been the background of my computer for almost the entirety I have known her. I highly recommend getting a commission work as she will be designing the cover of Culling of the Fold and that’s just super neat to have something by the same artist. Also, support artists and get her butt to my wedding.
Their personalities are very different. I play Evan who is a nineteen year old college student. He is an utter sweetheart who is terminally optimistic and would do anything for anyone. He likes magic, reading, clothes, and making people smile. He isn’t sure what he wants to major in but he knows he wants to do something that makes others happy or improves their well-being. If you read the Christmas post I did, you know his mother is very ill. She has memory damage and often forgets what’s going on. She mistakes Evan for his father who passed away years before.
Nolan is played by Nori. Nolan is a thirty two year old history teacher. He prefers to be alone and seems a bit cynical and serious. He is manipulative to those he wants to manipulate and seems courteous to everyone else. Honestly, I don’t know much about Nolan. He smokes and has two cats. I’m sort of learning about him as Nori and I rp but I am very eager to learn more. I have a feeling that underneath his rough exterior, he is a teddy bear but that may be wishful thinking.
I suppose I can spoil and say that Evan and Nolan will be in a relationship…of sorts. As I said, Nolan is manipulative and it seems he has set his eyes on Evan. I have a feeling that ‘innocent’ Evan won’t be ‘innocent’ for much longer.
How did you and Nori meet?
On tumblr.
She was an artist I greatly admired and I would stalk her tumblr page. One day I sat there rewriting a fanmail to tell her how much I thought of her work but I couldn’t find the words. I decided not to send it until I could find a way that said ‘you are amazing and I love you and have my babies’ without sounding creepy. When I refreshed my dash I saw that I had a new message and it was her. I remember the first line said ‘hey, you seem cool. Wanna talk?’
And I squealed and screamed into a pillow I was so excited. I kept thinking ‘be cool, you can do this’ and we ended up talking every day since then.
That was….almost nine months ago? Yeah, sounds about right.
OMG, excuse me, i need something from you. Please tell me you have a fucking decorated pillow case. I can't tell you why i need this but i do, and if you answer please tag it noribouu! Thank you!
Well I got a harry potter pillow. Would that work?
Nori,
You reblogged something that said to describe your art style. I'm going to try and attempt this.
In the almost year that I have known you, I have watched your art style change dramatically and I'm not an artist so bear with me.
When you paint, it reminds me of the Fauvism movement of the early 20th century. While you don't have the vibrant colors, your incorporation of slight distortion to evoke emotion rather than an actuality is what reminds me of this.
I think this also carries onto your drawings. While not as intense as your paintings, you do have seem to favor an emphasis on shapes to evoke a feeling rather than small detail. In this way your work reminds of the post-impressionist George Seurat (especially his painting Le Chahut). You don't incorporate pointillism so I'm sure people are cocking their heads at that but I say this because of how much emotion he evokes from his simplicity. Everything that needs to be said is expressed in something as simple as eyebrows or the way a subject smiles, the position of their stance, or direction in which they face.
You seem to have a preference for muted tones--relying heavily on shades of black, white, and red with green or blue to evoke a contrast. At times your use of colors reminds me of German Expressionism but without the focus on pain or emotional turmoil.
While I consider all of your work to be happy--even though you usually draw a darker subject matter--all of your work evokes an emotion that is contrary to what is being depicted. For example, your piece 'The Unstuck' shows two individuals who have killed one another but the emotion the viewer registers is devotion and compassion.
For your work that actually does represent something happier--Your style reminds me of Ken Anderson--An animator for Disney back in the 1960's.
Well, I tried lol. Most of these are a bit contrasting styles but I have noticed your style is heavily influenced by your emotion and none of us are set in one form.
