What do you eat to keep you going between a big hotel breakfast at 10am and tea at 6pm? Some had a panini and some (me) had a lemon muffin
been thinking a lot about how lately i just havent been thinking about food, what i eat, or really cared about it at all.
and for a while i was like, “im in a slump! oh no!”
and then i thought...what if this is NORMAL?
like im hungry, i eat what i have, its good, im done.
wow. is this just normal eating? not constantly planning out every meal, craving a bunch of things all the time, constantly thinking about what you’re gonna eat next???
amazing.
Food while away at the weekend
Sat:
B - porridge
L - venison stew and bread
S - oats bar
D - takeaway seafood pizza (2/3), chips and garlic mayo
Sun:
B - 2 boiled eggs and 2 slices toast
L - leftover pizza (remaining 1/3)
D - takeaway curry, rice, naan
A bit lacking in actual nutrition (vitamins etc) but otherwise I think I feel ok about the quantities. I wouldn't want to eat like this all the time as it makes me feel a bit bloated and sluggish but for a one-off weekend I can deal with it. I went with the flow and ate the same as those around me. This is how it should be. Food is just food.... and part of the fun.
A "normal" evening meal
Here are some of my therapist's suggestions of what she eats for an evening meal: • medium piece of pie (meat, veg, gravy, pastry) with mashed potato and veg • 2 sausages with onion gravy, potatoes and veg • mushroom omelette made with 2 or 3 eggs, with chips and veg • pasta dish with salad • big slice of cheese quiche with salad and 1 or 2 large slices of bread & butter Her breakfast and lunch are not that different to the various things I eat. She says she doesn't really have snacks but if she gets hungry she has a piece of fruit or cheese or a hot chocolate. A few times a week she has a couple of squares of dark chocolate.
