A hiss whistled past her teeth with the clench of her bloody knuckles. Etsu should have stopped trying to move them at this point ( she’d heard it from the nurses once already ), but the nagging pain made her restless. Whenever she found herself in the fourth division, she had a hard time sitting still. Maybe that’s what she got for pushing her own training too far. Utakkaminari -- the brass knuckles that made up her shikai -- could only channel so much energy at once. Tomorrow she’d take it a little more easy; as soon as her hands were healed. Hearing a soft knock at the door, Etsu straightened where she sat on the examination table.
“Come in.”
