Because I've finally come to terms with how much I know versus how much I don't versus how much I know I can bullshit.
And I'm so tired of expecting the worst in me, saying what I think because I fucking think it'll save my skin.
i’m tired of begging you to stay
cause that's the way it's always been
a fire waiting to happen

But now I'm twenty two. What the fuck am I gonna do if the world's always burning down?
Wandering lost on the corner of thirty first, or gathered in the front yard of my house, frozen in time, like pictures in a photo book. I put those scenes on hold and buried them underground. I marked the spot with a name, a place on a map that reads "come back when you've changed." And every year I find my way again, sometimes with a compass but mostly it just happens. I stumble on a garden overgrown, a harvest of the worst things I have ever known. And every year I ask, "have I changed enough to pick the flowers?" Always I wonder if all of the pictures will be just as bad as I remember. Walking the rails at the train stop, it'd never been so cold in September.
