I’ve been watching The Batman (2004) because it’s on Netflix and you know what? My memories of this show being Pretty Good Actually hold up! It’s a little dated, but the art style has some spunk, the voice acting is delightful, the banter is genuinely fun, Dick Grayson is a horrible little chaos gremlin as he should be, and I will die on the hill that bb!Babs is criminally underrated, especially as she navigates her jealousy over this punk shrimp who apparently just waltzed in and got Batman to train him and gets to officially be his partner, but then also sees that he’s just a kid and he’s not actually all that terrible, so they still banter, but drift towards mutually making fun of Batman and just absolutely ROASTING Black Mask together, and it’s all very Sometimes Batman Media Is Good Actually. (Though, I always say you should just start with season 4 when the Flying Graysons episode happens, that’s where it’s the best and you can pick it up just fine.)

My family is dogsitting and my dog keeps using the visitor's bed.

They have an 11yr age difference btw. Seeing them next to each other is hilarious.

Anyway he got back in his own bed eventually.

Marius looked up at Courfeyrac through thick black lashes, head tilted down in an unconscious picture of perfect coquetry, and Courfeyrac thought once again how unfair it was (to him, personally), that so much unintentional charm and natural flirtation should have been delivered to his door in one Pontmercy-sized package. Poor Marius didn’t mean to steal the heart of every woman or properly inclined man he met; it was merely a fate that had come to devil Courfeyrac, specifically, no doubt for his many past sins. Courfeyrac had tried to impart some skills in flirtation in hapless roommate, if only to help him control his abilities and only channel them at will, but so far it had been of no avail.

“So, ah,” said Marius, “if I want to win over a, a lady, or, show someone my, um, love, I should…” he trailed off, again, as he’d been doing all morning, and slowly, as if in a trance, his right hand came to rest against Courfeyrac’s cheek. His own cheeks blooming with blushing roses, Marius leaned in and pressed his lips against Courfeyrac’s, gentle and tentative at first, then growing ever-so-slightly bolder as he drew Courfeyrac in. His mouth was warm and soft, sweet as a spring breeze, and Courfeyrac couldn’t help the little sigh that escaped as Marius finally drew back.

Courfeyrac took several seconds to draw in enough breath to laugh lightly (if weakly) and say, “Yes, that’s just the thing, try that and it’s sure to go well.”
