Name: Kosatski (Koh-Saht-Skee), コサツキ. named from the Japanese words for "strangle" (Kosatsu) and "moon" (tsuki)
During the day, this carnivorous-plant pokemon is mostly dormant. Sheilding it's delicate pale flower petal(s) from the sunlight. But at night, under the moon, it blooms, releasing fragrant sents that lure in prey. Because this pokemon doesn't have any toxins, sharp claws, or teeth it slowly wraps the victim in the dozens of vine-like apendages and strangles the prey. It then wraps it's meal up in their tentacles and slowly absorbs them.
Sorry if that got kinda heavy, I wanted a creepy justifacation for the dark type and may have gone a bit too far. But compared to some of the official pokemon-eat-pokemon stories I think I'm okay lol
