Saw this cutie while getting crickets for the Ts. I noticed her resting her chin on the water bowl and thought she was cute. The employee helping us said “she’s really mean, she jumps at us whenever we open up her enclosure” usually the snakes are so docile and friendly but this little lady isn’t playing around! 🐍

Also, the other day I checked my communal and...welp! Here is my second brood, and at this point I’m pretty sure the third female is also gravid. So I’ll have plenty of C. gracilis scorplings for sale in the near future.

Look at this little cutie! This was the only scorpling that immediately attacked the roach baby. I thought I was getting pinhead roaches and I did not. I’m a roach newbie so I had no idea what sizes to expect. These were the smallest roaches sent to me, so I settled for prekilling them and offering them to the brood. The final count is 26 surviving scorplings that I have.

Five are reserved for the contest winners { @faithbeforefear & @thegreatpigeonking } and I will be keeping a couple, but will be selling the remainder. When I’m sure they’re all eating and healthy, I will be sending out the freebies and listing the rest for sale. To anyone interested, I’ll definitely post about it here when I get to that point.

I’ve set up the corner of my closet with a personal heater to keep my scorplings nice and warm. After the holidays I should be able to send out the scorplings from my contest, and list the spares for sale. All 26 are still alive and active so I feel confident enough that they’re strong enough. I’d love it if a couple molted to the next instar because with age/size comes hardiness but oh well!
