Roxxon Presents: Thor (2024) #1
who tf gave steve punch-more-nazis rogers the right to look So Good in tws??
I have a feeling that sylvie is thor, probably unlikely but I can't shake it
Well that would be a twist. . .
Loki: *goes in for a kiss*
Sylvie: “ew get back! I'm your SISTER!”
Loki: Life is all about making mistakes!
Thor: You sure have lived a full life then
Loki: You know what?! You're right.
My Endgame opinion is that I HATE what the Russos did to Thor. It felt like a complete undoing of Ragnarok. Instead of "you don't need the hammer, u got the music in u" it's "let's give him TWO weapons!" Instead of understanding his grief from Ragnarok and now IW it's "let's make him FAT for the sake of beer & Lebowski jokes!" They made Thor regress into crises he already had in every movie (and overcame) and then just... Undid it. At least that's what it felt like to me. I felt empty (1/2)
Thor 2/2). And I don't understand why everyone (Russo's included) blame Thor for Thanos (bc "he didn't go for the head") and he suffered the brunt of that failure the most severely in terms of the change to his character. But everyone else had a shot or should feel the failure to an extreme. Quil fucked up. The Hulk pussied out. Everyone failed, but it felt like the blame fell to Thor. And it felt unjustified. And he never got resolution with Loki. I just hope he gets happiness going forward.

Yeah... I don’t think any of the avengers themselves blamed Thor, he put it on himself. They all fought in the same battle, but key players against thanos had died. Thor felt like “why am I still alive?” With that sentiment, I can justify why he “needed” mjolnir or the conversation with his mother. The weight gain is honestly refreshing, but the constant fat-shaming was unnecessary and heavy handed. The turn to alcoholism and reducing it to a joke was distressing, honestly. I don’t really want to place the blame on anyone for thanos (cod it’s a combo of things) >> but Thor has always risen to the occasion, and I WISH we could have acknowledged that in this movie.............. as for Loki.... I kept wondering when the sun would shine. And nope, they literally never referenced that beautiful line again lmao.
A part of me thinks that Thor ragnorak wasn’t out when they wrote the scripts for infinity war and endgame>> and filming was short after. I don’t think The Russo’s understand taikas sense of humor or direction and it really showed :// they butchered Thor, Loki, hulk/Bruce banner and Valkyrie— by just having her as a name drop.
I love the guardian movies, i reaaaally do— but if thor is going to become a supporting character (which I don’t mind in theory) without his own personal arc/journey.. I’m not sure how much further he can grow from his character in endgame. Which is :////////////////
Anyway, the only way I'll accept the Disney show being about Loki's past is if Tom Hiddleston narrates it like Kuzco from 'The Emperor's New Groove'.
Every time I see a tall Loki design I get jumpscared. Anything taller then 5'4" for them is WRONG
