Alien Invasion || The Doctor & Jedi
Of all the themes that her boss could've chosen to convert too? It had to be the 70's. Why the 70's? Why not something futuristic? That meant that she didn't have to wear this stupid outfit for work and the even stupider wig that made her scalp itchy. It was stupid and there was no point in it at all. There were better themes than the 70's to be hanging out with but no, it had to be the freaking 70's. Needless to say, Jedi wasn't really happy with her job at the moment. Even less happy with her outfit.
The jumpsuit she was wearing was a stupid one with ruffles along the neckline, long sleeves and flared pants legs in an ugly red colour. On top of that, platform heels that had taken her days to get used too. The only good thing about those heels was the fact that it added a few good inches to her height but other than that? Nothing more but a risk of twisting your ankle and that was likely to happen working in a diner. Not to mention the foot ache she got at the end of the day because of the fact that she was wearing heels on the job.
Jedi let out a sigh as she straightened the black afro wig and checked her outfit before walking out into the diner to get to work, putting on her apron and stuffing her notepad and pencil into the pockets. How humiliating was this? On top of wearing a jumpsuit it was one that was really low cut to the point that she wasn't even able to wear a bra because 'that wasn't pretty' according to her boss.
Grumbling to herself she glanced up when the Mayor walked in for his usual 'elevenses' and she wrote down his order without even going to ask him. He ordered the same thing anyway so why bother? Even if he didn't signal her like he normally did. Instead she glanced up when another man walked in. Why did it look like he didn't have any eyebrows? "Hey there! Take a seat anywhere you want." She told him, grabbing a menu to follow him over to where he chose to sit. Screw the 70's slang.
