Miles Away || [notfeelingakomish]
She was damn lucky that there was free wifi to mooch off of. The small Conduit curled up in the corner of the dark alleyway. Goosebumps rose on exposed skin on her legs, but she hardly noticed or cared. All she cared about was hearing Delsin's voice. Her life had quickly turned to absolute shit and she hadn't had the time or even the mental wellness to speak with him. The past few weeks had been tough on her. Her drug addiction got worse and now she had done something she really regretted. Now she was all alone out here. Tired, scared, and lonely - she needed someone. She needed Delsin.

Her heart raced as she signed into Skype. Throughout her days on the streets, the number of contacts had dwindled. In her hometown, word had gotten around that she was a Conduit, or rather Bio-terrorist. Old friends that she had grown up with refused to speak with her, just because she was one of them. Hell, her own parents didn't want her anymore. That was how she got into this whole situation in the first place. Now Brent was gone, the only person close to her who believed she wasn't a terrible person because of her powers. After what she did... she was beginning to think that she was a monster.
A small, shaky thumb scrolled through the contacts list. A sigh slipped through her lips when she saw that he was online. IMs were being received as she stared at his Skype profile. They were all from him, asking her if she was okay and if she was safe. Out of the streets, she was never safe. D.U.P. was always looking for her, dealers always wanted their money, and other homeless always wanted her jacket.
And somehow, throughout all this, she was able to find comfort in someone whom she met in a chat room at 3 AM when she couldn't sleep.
Abigail didn't care that her dark pink hair was a mess, or that she looked like a zombie due to lack of sleep and food. Her thumb tapped the 'video call' button and she waited for him to answer.
