It is great that @loosewomen covered our model @miamauge latest @marksandspencer #lingerie campaign #nothingneutralaboutit but such a shame the discussion went out with little to no research. #janetstreetporter comment that only grey models are used to represent the 50+ demographic is assumption and wholly incorrect. For the past 18 months we have seen a clear move away from grey and silver hair to embrace #unitedcoloursofgrey . What a shame the program did not invite @miamauge on the program to represent herself and her reasons for choosing silver over dye. Grey hair or just being older has long since been marginalised by society worldwide. Grey Mode Agency (named ironically JSP!!) makes fun of the concept that older means grey. Those #silversisters who have chosen to #embracethegrey have done so and found it tremendously liberating and disrupts societal beauty standards which Ms Porter bulldozed and dismissed; not to mention the younger models who can now embrace their early grey proudly.
