A lot happens in 4 years. Going through all my social media realizing that is really crazy. You meet new people, have new friends, new relationships, etc... Senior year came way too fast. I'm Not Ready...

I was in the shower last night when a sudden thought occurred to me. 

January 6th, I'll be half way to graduating high school.

That's when I had a panic attack in the shower. 

What did I think was going to happen in May? An end to one year of high school and a soon beginning to another? 

My mom, my dad, my friends: they all say that I'm ready for the next big step in my life. They say that I'm ready to face the world on my own.

Truth is, no matter how long I've felt I was alone in the world and thought I was fighting life alone, I'm not ready for the thought of my mom not being down the stairs from me ready if I fall down the narrow steps, again. I'm not ready for my every other weekend visits to my dad's to end. I'm not ready for my sisters to grow up and I only see them once, maybe twice, a year. I'm not ready to be legally allowed to purchase my own cold medication. 

I'm not ready to leave home.

But most of all, I'm not ready to grow up.
