Freedom isn’t free.. or is it? I’ll grant you that most federal employees who are working without pay will eventually be compensated once the government shutdown ends... however, I’ll still serve up the fact that men and women holding key roles in the defense of our nation should not have to be expected to go without pay to serve a political agenda, especially around the holidays. This not only shameful, it is, at its core, UNAMERICAN. I don’t grandstand a lot.. but as a former Federal employee , I feel for my friends and family that are affected by the childish BS that we mostly ignore as “Just Life” in the Trump era.
