Thanks to grassroots parent and teacher activism, SB 2655 (2015) gives parents and teachers OFFICIALLY* the right to refuse to take high-stakes-yet-invalid-and-not-useful standardized tests.  

*As parents we always have the right to determine what is best for our children, but now it’s all legal so when folks at the district try to intimidate or shame you you can just shake your head and smile mysteriously.
