carter was sitting on the sidewalk, smoking his last cigarette, as a scream echoed through the streets. quickly, he got up, trying to spot the source of the noise. after a few moments of eye squinting and lost puppy noises he found it. a girl and a man were fighting over a purse. both were pulling on the purse. aggressively. the boy walked over without putting too much thought into it. “ HEY !! dude, leave her alone! “ the strange man turned around and before carter could even blink, he felt a dull pain on his face. his body fell on the ground and a soft moan escaped his lips as warm blood started dripping out of his nose.
