Since this blog has been all about sharing and recycling things that I find inspiring but only other people have posted, I’ve put up another blog, where I actually might write something and share tiny peeks into my life.
Follow if you will, here it is: Nowhere but now here.
Spreadcrumbs will also keep on posting as randomly and seldom as so far.
Nowhere but now here.
About three months ago I quit my job and moved from Helsinki to Berlin. That was definitely the easiest and at the same time the hardest decision I’ve ever made. Dreaming about it was easy. To kill the fear inside me wasn’t.
What if it doesn’t work out? Is it sane to leave it all behind? Am I allowed to want something else?
Those were the thoughts that I had, which—I think—is likely to a person who’s born in a Nordic welfare state. Why? Precisely because they actually have an option.
Let’s be honest. I’m not that type of a person who makes spontaneous decisions. It was more or less seven years ago that I visited Berlin the first time and when I first got the idea of moving to Berlin. But after studying, working and traveling without putting an effort figuring out my life and where it was going, I gradually reached a point, where I kind of had everything I needed. Ironically, that is the point when you realize something’s missing.
You can’t really know what’s out there if you don’t go and find out, can you?
I am nowhere but now here. I’ll try to remember that.
