there was a small shimmer in the air , then an apparition of smoke & clouds before the deceiver steps out into view ; staff poised in the air from the spell she had casted . emilia's gaze shifts kindly towards the lunari near her , her hands cradling yet another basket of curiosities ❝ diana , a pleasure as always --- surely you don't mind my being here at peculiar hours of the evening ? ❞ she tilts her head , a smile lingering on dark lips .
Diana was headfirst in a few tomes she had acquired, deciphering runes and glyphs from exquisite columns from the fallen temples. It was then the smoke flooded the ground, making her shift her silver gaze down and around.
The familiar voice almost made her visibly flinch, but she let go of the quill and stood up, crossing her arms while the woman spoke.
“Evening, Emilia. You know I don’t mind time, what I do mind is when people ignore the door right behind them, it is there for a reason.”
She raised an eyebrow. Her words, usually cold, had no bite to them. Her bright hues traveled around the other’s form, noticing the dark smile and then the basket.
“May I ask the reason for such visit? Does the basket have anything to do with it?”
She inquired, tapping her fingertips on her forearm, drumming them as if unquiet about her postponed research, and yet patient when it came with the rare visits of the other woman.
