I'm going to keep asking for recommendations: where does one acquire a decent magnifying glass. I had a pocket magnifier when I was in elementary school that swiveled in and out of a soft plastic cover and I'm imagining something sort of like that, but don't know what kind of magnification I want or where to find something good quality. Any tips?
Well, I was going to ask @ahedderick and @rederiswrites privately, but tumblr doesn’t do group messages? Anyway, for people who’ve been responsible for caring for their parents/other older adults, how can/could/did someone help out from a very long distance? I’m trying to think of ways I can support Sibling, as they have become the closest person to both my parents. One parent is in better health than the other. Important information may be that my parents do not get along and are therefore in separate households. The parent with more fragile health is living with Sibling.
Any suggestions for getting over discomfort at the idea of handling snakes? We've got some non-venomous snakes that hang around the birds and we (Partner) usually pick them up and move them away (mostly to keep the dogs from harassing them). I get a kind of unpleasant feeling at the thought of handling them, but don't want to have to depend on someone else to move them.
So…I took two extra days off this week and seem to have determined that I am allergic (?) to chicken feathers? Fml
