YYY is living her third life.
In her first, she was in love with ASS - he was to be her husband after all, their marriage decided before they even became teenagers. He, however, barely tolerated her and quickly took a fancy to a beautiful lower ranked under-classman in the Imperial Mage Academy. For trumped up charges of bullying this girl, YYY was publicly condemned and even executed.
To clarify: YYY, the daughter of a Marquis and high-ranked Imperial Mage, was killed over claims of school-yard bullying of a Baron’s daughter, claims that could not be confirmed outside of hearsay and unreliable witness statements.
Yeah, it was unbelievable to her too.
Her second life, she regained her memories after the engagement. This time, she had no affections for ASS. Instead she stayed far away from him and that Baron’s daughter during the Academy, going so far as to take advanced courses in a different curriculum so to prevent any misunderstandings. It didn’t work. Once more, she was falsely accused on trumped up charges and killed.
This life, however, she refuses. This life, her memories came back earlier. Now she refuses to have anything to do with ASS, with the Baron’s daughter, or even the Academy. She’s going to make her own path and live her own life, even of she ends up being disowned. ‘cause not this time, asshole.
