A New Begining

   While it seemed like a normal day for most at the troll market had been a living hell from rei. These past few weeks were like a horrible nightmare that she just couldn't wake up from. Last thing she remembered was leaving her college campus and heading to her job as a baker's assistant. Then, out of nowhere she felt a sharp pain then darkness. The first few days felt like she was living in a fog, able to see and hear, but not respond. After a while the fog lifted and the pain began.    She had learned this horrible creature had kidnapped her to be a pet. She also learned he had a very, very short fuze. He didn't seem to like her speaking and she learned quickly that any sound made would cause him to hit her. It got to the point where she was terrified to even sneeze. She really had no idea what he wanted from her. He would often leave her locked up in the basement for days on end in the dark only coming down to abuse her. He often asked her to do things that she didn't even understand the command which of course led to more violence.    At the moment he was walking down a walkway with rei in tow. What had once been a simple summer dress was now just tatters of cloth hanging from her thin frame which was covered in cuts and bruises. Her legs were shackled together with barely enough give for her to walk. Her arms were bound in front on her. Resting on her arms was a large box he was forcing her to carry. Around her neck was an iron collar that he had soldered shut. Attached was O ring that led to the chain he continued to yank on as they walked.    Rei's arms were trembling as she struggled to hold up the large box, every yank on the chain causing her to stumble a bit. Finally, her legs gave way from under her and the redhead collapsed to the ground, the contents of the box spilling onto the street. This of course infuriated the creature causing him to yank hard on the chain. "BAD! UP!" he yelled. Rei struggled to get up, but starvation and dehydration had a tight grip on her, zapping away most of her strength. The creature pulled her up by the collar causing her to gag. "STAY UP" he yelled, but once he let go of her she collapsed to the ground one more, causing him to kick her into a nearby wall "BAD!"
