Said The Sky - LIVE at Nuemo’s /// SEATTLE, WA.
Filmed this Show Recap for Fluencie, DAYM & Nat opening up for Said The Sky at Nuemo’s in Seattle, Wa.
We Were Promised Jetpacks @ Nuemo's (2.25.14)
I saw WWJP a long time ago in Washington DC. I stood front and center for that show and I'll never forget it because that night I found out just how much passion, energy, and (unfortunately) spit comes out of the lead singer during each and every performance.
Fast forward a few years and this band performs like a well-oiled machine. They still have a lot of energy, but their professionalism and overall sound has improved dramatically.
This was a packed house at Nuemo's. The band played through both albums and some new songs, but I'm still partial to the older stuff. Quiet Little Voices, It's Thunder and It's Lightening, and Keeping Warm all sounded great! I was a little bummed that they didn't play Moving Clocks Run Slow, but I can't blame them because they only have so much time up there.
I do prefer the raw energy and emotion of the set from the first time I saw them, but WWJP certainly did not disappoint at this show.

Cults @ Neumo's
Cults came to town in support of their new, and very underrated sophomore LP, Static. They played a pretty lengthy set that included most of the tracks from both their first and second albums.
Many of the songs from the new album sounded great live, particularly High Road, Were Before, and I Can Hardly Make You Mine which all had an edge to them during the live set.
The lighting added a great effect but I only noticed them after stepping to the back of the crowd.
Overall Cults looked and sounded much better this time around. When touring for their first album it was clear the band was still finding their stage presence. This time it was honed.

My first time seeing M83. All I can say is that I waited far too long...
