Ven didn’t like how that shop keep was looking at talyn as they talked. Which shouldn’t be a surprise given how territorial the gladiator tended to be..

He growls, tail lashing behind him as he watches from the distance- having been asked to keep an eye on the pairs previous purchases. However, the flirtatious expression the stranger had on his face was getting too annoying to deal with.

So, he stalks up behind talyn- wrapping an arm tightly around his waist and settling his chin on his lovers shoulder- glaring daggers at the shop keeper as he turns his face just enough to press his lips to talyns neck.

“Y’ taking too long.”

To his credit, the shopkeep was a pretty attractive man. Half-elven with shoulder length brown hair tied back in a loose ponytail and bright silvery-blue eyes. Had the situation been any different, Talyn might have actually given him a chance but he had no interest in the man despite his persistence.

Just as Ven walked up, the man had been trying to ask Talyn to dinner, to which he’d been in the process of holding up a hand and declining the offer when he felt a presence behind him. He nearly jumped, before realizing who it was.

“O-oh um.. right! Sorry, Ven.” He gasped past the hitch in his breath when he felt his lover’s lips against his neck, earning a little shiver from Talyn.

Quickly, Talyn finished the exchange of coin, bidding a hasty goodbye to the shopkeep (who, despite the venomous glare he received, offered a wink Talyn’s way), before grabbing Ven’s hand and leading him away.

Undeniably, Talyn’s face was tinted a deep shade of red as he secured their new purchases and hastily made his way out of the store, flustered and embarrassed all at once. But.. in a way he was thankful. He’d been having a hard time convincing the shopkeep that he wasn’t interested (and technically taken for that matter) and Vendetta stepping in was probably the best way to send that message.

As they walked, Talyn shifted to link his free arm with Ven’s. He was tense, his jaw clenching a bit as he kept his eyes to the ground.

“Sorry.. I was trying to tell him..”

She doesn’t really know how to say what she’s thinking; what she wants- at least not without turning a shade of red that would put every tomato in her garden to shame.

So, morning decides to try something that while being direct, could maybe be a little more subtle at the same time..and that she could probably back out of if it didn’t go as she hoped. The pale tiefling takes a deep breath turning away from what she’d been doing and walking over to where kairo sat.

She lifts the hem of her dress just enough to keep her from sitting on it as she wordlessly settles her smaller form atop his thigh. “...hello~” morning greets, shyly looking up at him through her lashes as she offers him a small smile- heart racing in her chest.

While Morning Glory had taken to working in the garden, Kairo had used the opportunity to try and relearn how to read. He’d started with simple books, but now he had recently graduated with light novels (some still with pictures) and was busy reading when he saw her approach out of the corner of his eye.

Setting his book aside, he turned to address her, but was stopped short when she hiked up her skirt and straddled his leg.

All at once, his heart felt like it had shot up into his throat. Especially when her blue eyes looked at him from beneath fluttering lashes.

“H....” It’s a strained wheeze of a breath, and he forgets for a moment that his voice isn’t there. Blinking rapidly, a hand lifts in a greeting, though it’s half-hearted in lieu of him trying not to let his brain short circuit.

Vendetta bounces lightly back and forth on his clawed feet- shoulders squared as he rolls them and squares up to the makeshift punching bag he'd hung outside from a tree.

Its hot, and he's shirtless to keep himself cool as he practices his punches with steel focus. He gets a little too into it however, and one misplaced claw slash when he kicks at the bag has it ripped down  the center- its contents spilling onto the ground.

The tiefling huffs in irritation, blowing a lock of hair out of his face and shaking his head. ugh, he missed his training equipment..

He settles back on his heels and takes a second to gather his long hair, pulling it back into a ponytail and briefly exposing the crude moon scar on the back of his neck- all the while pouting at the destroyed bag like it had offended him, and unaware he has an audience.

In truth... Talyn felt a little bad. It was evident that Vendetta was a tad bit.. perhaps bored, staying here. And yet, seemed to not quite want to leave just yet. Honestly, it was surprising that he’d stayed this long at all. 

He couldn’t help but stand and watch for a little bit as the other tiefling practiced with his makeshift punching bag - up until it was shredded and the contents came spilling out.

Talyn had gone from watching with an appreciative glance to a slight frown and a furrowed brow. He adjusted his grip on the basket that was held on his hip, full of clothing he’d pulled from the line set up. Biting his lip in thought, Talyn ultimately decided to set the basket down nearby and approach the other man. 

He was light on his feet, and relatively silent besides, managing to approach without being noticed at first, until he spoke.

“...Ven..?” His voice is meek as he approaches, small, though the concern is there. “...A.. Are you okay? I-I can repair that for you..”

It’s in the kitchen that he corners him.. the dark shadow looming out from the other side of the room, as silent as someone of his size can manage..

Ven presses up behind talyn, pressing him forward against the counter he’d been stood at and letting out a quiet, hungry growling sound as he leans in to nip at the side of his neck- calloused hands sliding over talyns hips.

“What’re y’ doin~?” He rumbles, sharp teeth scraping gently against his neck

It seemed that Vendetta was getting better and better at sneaking up on him. That, or Talyn’s mind was just so occupied that he didn’t notice the other tiefling’s approach. So, it was no surprise that Talyn jumped when he felt a presence push up behind him, a little gasp leaving his mouth as he nearly dropped the item he was holding. A tomato, fresh from his garden.

It was admittedly extremely hard to think past the feeling of teeth against his neck. Talyn swallowed back an unexpected moan, and instead gulped and managed an apprehensive chuckle.

“Ah.. w-washing some produce...?” He answered, trying not to let his breath hitch and failing miserably.

He had to set the poor tomato down in the basket of washed vegetables before his trembling hands could squish it - then, once free, a hand came down to rest over Ven’s on his hip.

“I-I could ask the same of you...”

Morning worries her lip, looking up at Kairo from the corner of her eye beneath thick lashes. After a moment she sets a hand on his thigh, her face bright red.

“Um.. Kairo? I’d like to try something with you, I-if you’re alright with it?” She takes a breath, somehow blushing even darker, her expression nervous but lustful

“I want.. I want to suck your dick..”

It wasn’t unusual for them to spend their evening together in quiet. Kairo especially enjoyed just remaining close to her, existing together in the same space. Tonight, it was sitting on the end of the bed, getting ready to turn in for the evening. He was in a soft pair of pants, and a loose, sleeveless tunic, and little else, sitting on the bed, lost in thought for the moment - until her hand fell upon his thigh and she earned his undivided attention.

...Her request earned a wide-eyed stare from him, before his hands lifted to respond:

‘Very big. Could hurt.’ He warned, concern furrowing his brow before a hand reached up to brush some hair behind her ear. He need not voice his real concern, with it plastered all over his face, even past the darkening of his cheeks...

It’s storming quite heavily- the sound of the rain beating on the cabin roof is loud in the otherwise quite quiet forest.. rivaled only by the sounds of vendettas clawed feet stomping along the floor as he paces about as if trying to wear a path in the wood.

He grumbles to himself, tail twitching in agitation as he stares out the window without stopping his movements- like a hunter locked on its prey. But if one were to look closely, they’d notice the way his shoulders hunched and muscles tensed at every clash of thunder or flash of lightning…

He certainly noticed the way that Vendetta seemed so much more tense when it stormed like this. Thankfully the forest wasn’t prone to heavy storms too often but Talyn just.. felt bad. He was milling about the kitchenette area, getting ready to make supper.

Turning his head, Talyn paused, his tail flicking gently as he shot Ven a sympathetic smile.

“Hey...” His voice was soft, but still loud enough to be heard over the storm outside. “...Do you want to help me with dinner? I could use some extra hands to cut up the meat for the stew.”

It was a clever trick he’d learned: Help Vendetta by masking it as needing help with something else. Don’t make it seem like he was weak, or showing weakness. Make him feel strong.

“...I was also thinking of trying my hand at some cinnamon bread. I don’t bake often but.. I just thought it would be nice...”

Morning calls his attention, sitting herself daintily on the edge of a nearby garden table. She bites her lip, fidgeting with a lock of her hair.

“I.. was wondering, how would you feel about.. having a baby? With me?” Her face flushed, she flusters and starts to ramble a little-

“It-it’s fine if you don’t like the idea- I just, I think *i* might like one with you if you do, and- I-I guess what I’m saying is I’d like to.. I’d like *you* to, ah-“

Kairo gave a soft snort, woken from a light doze by that wonderful voice he’d come to adore hearing. He turned his head toward her, noting first her nervous behavior and feeling a sting of concern. 

Then, the words reached his brain - and served only to immediately short circuit it at the implications. 

A baby. A child.. she... she wanted to be pregnant with his baby.. She wanted him to...

He managed to find some clarity in the midst of his head spinning as she rambled. And Kairo shifted in his seat, sitting up to meet with her with the most loving expression on his features.

His hands came to rest on her thighs, gentle despite the callouses that marred his skin. Kairo leaned upward, tilting his head to capture her lips in a soft, short kiss. He kissed her, once, twice, three times before his lips trailed to the side and he buried his face against her neck. 

There, he inhaled slowly, and exhaled a deep sigh before pulling back. He smiled at her, reached up to brush some hair behind her ear, and raised his hands to sign.

‘Yes. Would love that. Soon. Must wait short time.’

All the times he had to hold himself back came rushing to his memory. The days where her scent was almost too much to bear, where she drove him wild in all the best ways just by existing... He didn’t have to hold back anymore. Next time.. Next time he would give her what she wanted.

Marigold doesn't visit often in the earlier hours of the day, without her sister present at least.. She was more prone to pestering him during late nights, keeping him company when neither could sleep for one reason or another.

 Today, she walks in a bit hurriedly around noon- looking a touch more frazzled then usual.

"Doctor." She greets, slightly out of breath and tucking a loose lock of hair back where it belongs. "Forgive the intrusion, but there is a more.. personal matter i should like to ask your assistance with."

Kadyn looks up from his current activity of mixing a set of dried herbs. Recipe paper in hand, golden eyes shift to the door as he hears it open. His mouth opens, his stance the air of professionalism, as he expected Morning Glory, or perhaps one of her parents with questions about the medicine - but instead, any words fell short when he spotted Marigold entering, looking unkempt.

“..A personal matter..?” He questions, arching a brow as he sets the paper down. Just the sight of her had his heart beating faster, memories of their evenings together filling him with a warm content. Though a little unease broke through his expression as he approached her.

“...Is something wrong? You look.. rushed. Please, have a seat.”
