we so should!!! i think fem dream would be so much worse re: realizing the nature of her feelings regarding girls. george has been quietly living her life as a lesbian since she was pretty young and immediately understands her feelings for dream to be what they are, but dream struggles so hard to put the pieces together bc well she's always been pretty girlie you know!! she doesn't see herself as fitting the stereotypes for gay girls she likes wearing cute makeup and fun little outfits in soft colors and listening to pop music with her friends. she's a sheltered teenage girl living in florida ofc she doesn't immediately think that she's the type of person who would like girls. but then she gets online and realizes oh! you can like girls AND be really into lipgloss lmao thats like actually a whole thing.
realizing she likes george would be a whole other hurdle though and i dont think that she would put the pieces together until post meet up. and even then it would take awhile. ofc, dnf would still be terrorizing sapnap and attached at the hip and constantly cuddling on the couch. dream's hand lives on george's waist and every time they have movie night george slowly ends up migrating from her own spot into dream's lap. it's just comfy, you know? and this is just normal friend stuff. dream has always been affectionate with the girls she's friends with. she and sapnap have shared a bed many times over the years. it doesn't matter that, when dream and george share a bed, it feels a million times heavier and more significant than it ever did with sapnap. but she always says its just normal friend stuff if anyone brings it up. meanwhile george is losing her fucking mind but pressing it down anyway because she's long since accepted that dream doesn't like her like that. its when they start kissing periodically "as friends" that it finally gets to be a bit too much and george is the one who finally cracks and drops the whole you know im in love with you right bomb and suddenly a lot of things very quickly start making sense to dream lmao
