In the manga, Aechmea tells Phos about the ways in which the lunarians tried to influence Adamant. He mentions some "isolated attempts to shake up him," among other things.
The Hematite Rose, the oldest gem in history, miraculously survived one of these "attempts," remaining the only gem on the island. Although she promised to keep it a secret, one day she tells Nuristanite about it. Since then, Nuri has been very afraid of the lunarians.
