The dark humor of Happy Tree Friends characters with Toothy, Giggles, Petunia, Sniffles, Cuddles, Flaky, The Mole, Lifty, and Flippy.
Behind the veil of cute creatures and cheerful animations, HTF serves a generous helping of violence and gore, making it as addictive as it is disturbing.
But here's where it gets controversial. The sugar-coated violence has drawn criticism from those who believe it numbs viewers, especially younger ones, to the realities of harm and suffering.
Others argue it's just a darkly comedic, cathartic release from our sanitized reality. Yet, the line between 'just enough' and 'too much' is as thin as one of Lumpy's disastrously planned safety measures.
