European Retailers Offer NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Below Suggested Retail Price
Recent market observations reveal that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER has been made available at prices lower than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) in certain European countries. Just a day after its debut at a starting price of $599, which replaced the RTX 4070 non-SUPER at the same price point, retailers in Poland and Austria have introduced temporary price reductions.
In Poland, a major PC retailer has reduced the price of the RTX 4070 SUPER from 2999 PLN to 2849 PLN. This price adjustment specifically applies to the Gainward RTX 4070 SUPER Ghost model, which is a non-overclocked version and was part of the product lineup covered in reviews on January 16. Historically, the RTX 4070 was priced around 2880 PLN in September, before dropping to 2650 PLN by December end, indicating that the RTX 4070 SUPER is now being offered at a lower price point than its predecessor a few months back.
Comparing MSRP with the lowest offers in different countries:
- In Poland (X-Kom), the price changed from 2999 PLN to 2849 PLN, reflecting a 5% decrease. - In Austria, while the official MSRP is €659, the price fell to €629, a 4.6% reduction. Notably, a previous offer at DiTech for €629 could not be confirmed due to a subsequent price adjustment to €699. The current lowest price found is €643, around 3% below the MSRP. - In Germany (CSV), the price dropped from €649 to €643, a modest 3% decrease.
These price variations suggest that the demand for the RTX 4070 SUPER might not be as robust as its predecessor, the RTX 4070, when it was first released. This trend could lead to further price reductions in the coming weeks, as individual retailer strategies start to impact the broader global pricing landscape for this GPU model.
