Listen here, I have a good explanation for why it's taken me this long to finish this stupid-ass game.
I got AC1 and AC2 as a set for Christmas LAST YEAR. When I got it in the mail, I was so fucking pumped and I immediately played it for a while. But you see, nearly all my video games are on Steam, which for story-based games, will save your progress even when you have to re-install that bullshit. I got AC1 as a separate CD, meaning I have to re-install it and I have to have the CD in my computer at all times.
SEVEN TIMES. SEVEN TIMES THROUGHOUT THIS GOD DAMN YEAR THAT I NEEDED TO REBOOT MY COMPUTER TO THAT OF A CLEAN SLATE AKA ALL MY PROGRESS IN AC1, NO MATTER HOW FAR I GOT, VANISHED INTO AN ABYSS.
Having your progress be stripped from you like that is so fucking annoying and discouraging so for a long time, I just didn't even bother because I was just forever cursed that I could never finish the game.
But now here I am, at the beginning of winter break (avoiding finals I still need to take), and I realized that I only have like what two games to play (aside the new ones I already received), so I just said "fuck it" and played AC1. Luckily, I picked up from like a mid-way point so it pretty much took a week AND NOW THE DIRTY DEED IS DONE THE GAME IS FINISHED I CAN MOVE ON IN LIFE.
