I didn’t realize it was a full meme I just saw one post. A different post, but still. Anyway I already know the history but I’m curious how you’ll say it anyway n for those afraid to ask I guess 0:

idk i just know two post about Tarrare is more than i ever thought i’d see and memes always get weird when fall rolls around basically im going to give the least gross version I can, if anyone wants a fuller version i recommend the episode of the podcast Sawbones about Tarrare 

so basically Tarrare was a guy from france, we dont know his real name “Tarrare” was a nickname. His story begins when his parents couldnt provide for him and had to send him away. they could not provide for him because he was always hungry and could not stop eating. despite his endless appetite he was apparently this super scrawny dude. He also was apparently constantly sweaty and always smelled terrible

He got by for a while by traveling around and amazing audiences by eating a terrifying assortment of foods and non food objects, he was in the army for awhile, and his higher ups were honestly kinda jerks who took advantage of him and basically described him as not very bright behind his back. after a failed attempt at using him as a spy, Tarrare was desperate to leave the military, his experiences with which were awful and traumatic.He eventually found a doctor who wasnt too grossed out by him and begged for a cure because he didn’t want to exist as the smelly guy who was constantly hungry

he was hospitalized and absolutely no medical progress was made. he did get caught eating some really nasty stuff and an infant did go missing. we’ll never have absolute proof the child was eaten, but everyone at the time was like “yeah it was probably Tarrare” which. it probably was.he was kicked out of the hospital and wasn’t really heard from again until he died of tuberculosis. there was never an extensive autopsy because his corpse was really gross. we dont know exactly why he was Like That and the best we have are p much educated guesses by modern people with medical knowledge Tarrare is a cartoonish historical wtf moment. but its important to remember he was like. a human person who had feelings and who had a hard life. i l adore good ol history jokes, but at the end of the day this was a man who just wanted a normal life and if we can remember him as more than just “stinky french man who was hungry all the time” we probably should, y’know?

I’m fairly thin but steadily gaining weight bc my heart doesn’t just consume every last calorie I intake now, and I’m bigger than every skinny I meet, but that doesn’t mean I’m not a skinny, (I just wanted to explain tht situation bc I’m kinda at a middle ground where my parents are trying to start being fatphobic but y’all I’m thin as HELL but ok) and let me say- skinny’s please die y’all (and I) need to Shut The Fuck Up Always.

People are so scared of a lil shapeliness and anything beyond is from hell’s gates and obviously you hate yourself and are a horrendous person if you look like more than a fucking twig and “deserve it”.
