The Dark Carnival (ParaNormal!Stuck Meetup)
Who: Trick (harlequinpictures) and Tatiana (colorsandskulls)
What: A Freak Show-Themed Meet Up including Paranormal AU portrayals such as Demon!Stuck, Zombie!Stuck, Dead!Stuck, Vampire!Stuck (including hunters for all), and Angel!Stuck, among other objectives. (Ages 13 and up, please. Regulations on food and costume/makeup will be expounded upon later.)
When: November 2, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. The affair ends at the completion of the Photo-Shoot.
Where: Washington Square Park.
Why: In the spirit of All Hallows’ Eve. Besides, we shall summon Hussie himself. The proper way.
Rules/Regulations:
Hello! Trick here. While my lovely Co-Host will be discussing specificities pertaining to topics such as Cosplay, Makeup, and Food, I would like to re-set a few ground rules that should already be self-evident by now.
No alcohol/drugs on premises. If you arrive with these or are undergoing the effects of these substances, Tatiana and I reserve the right to remove you from the Meet Up along with any of our future objectives.
Horns and paint are permitted for this affair. However, for the love of Hussie, seal your make up. Tatiana will check everyone’s grey thoroughly and will have final sealant and baby powder if there are small gaps. However, you may not rely on her to seal it for you. If you have clearly not sealed, she can and will send you out of the Meet Up.
Do not be a disturbance. We understand that fun is the entire purpose for a Meet Up. However, having fun does not have to equal being bothersome. Keep interaction with Non-Homestucks to a minimum and ensure that you keep your voice at a reasonable level. Also, the playground nearby is completely off-limits, if that wasn’t previously clear.
Dress appropriately. We request this in the sense of both the decency and the weather. Please cover yourself in the appropriate places and be mindful that it will be November, and thereby quite chilly.
Food would be graciously accepted! Due to the time of the year, we request mostly desserts including candy, pastries, and the like. (Whispers “candy apples” in the distance.) However, we request that you review Tatiana’s list of potential allergens later in the post and label your contribution with any and all that correspond. (This is not required with candy.)
Be respectful of others. If a belonging is not yours, do not touch it unless it seems lost, in which case you should find Tatiana or myself and turn it in. We will ensure that it is returned to its proper owner. Also, do not nitpick, degrade, criticise, or otherwise insult others’ cosplays. Keep in mind that some people may not have the funds that you do for costume assembly.
Generically, but especially during the photoshoot, do not touch anyone without consent. Even if they contribute to your OTP, both parties must be consensual.
It is quite fun to make cosplays as elaborate and accurate as possible, we agree. However, despite the theme, no real weapons will be permitted. Real clubs, blades, whips, or firearms will result in an automatic ban from any and all of our Meetups. Nerf and Water Guns are also prohibited.

Cosplay:
Hello everyone, it’s Tatiana! I would love for this meetup to go as smoothly as possible, so I will be bringing an arsenal of supplies in case of any incidents that might occur with your finished cosplay. However, I will not be there to finish your cosplay for you. I will be doing small touch ups before and maybe during the photoshoot. However, for now, here are a few rules that I would like to get out of the way.
In terms of the weather conditions at this time of the year, please make sure to dress appropriately as stated previously.
Please make sure to have spandex shorts, tights, or something along those lines underneath skirts and/or dresses.
Please ensure that your wigs are properly fixed on your head.
For Guys: Shirts are recommended, and pants/tights are mandatory.
For Girls: Cleavage is permitted, but please keep it reasonable.
Minimal revealing (if at all) in the pelvic/posterior areas.
We understand that Demon!Stuck cosplay usually consists of collars, chains, and the like. However, please be incredibly careful not to choke anyone or do anything with a collar that is attached to someone else that could be considered sexual or violent without consent.
Makeup:
As many times as this has been said, all grey paint must be sealed (with both baby powder and final sealant) in order to participate.
Fake blood is not only allowed, but encouraged for cosplays such as Demon!Stuck, Vampire!Stuck, and the like.
Fake abrasions such as fake cuts, burns, and other wounds are permitted, but keep in mind that exceedingly graphic gore may be legitimately triggering to some attendants.
Contacts lenses are permitted, as long as they are accompanied by cleaning solution and a lens case.
Tooth caps are permitted, as long as biting is kept to a minimum. (Unless you and your parallel consensual party are into that sort of thing.)
If you so choose, minimal amounts of glitter may be acceptable.
Photoshoot:
Trick again! Now, we arrive at what I consider to be the crowning jewel of any meetup: The Photoshoot! This affair will take place in two parts: Traditional Shoot and Professional Shoot.
The Traditional Shoot will be the more generic Photoshoot in which groups and pairings will be called up to the centre to pose and have photos taken for a limited time. If you have attended previous meetups, it is very likely that you have already participated in one of these.
The Professional Shoot is precisely what the name suggests. We will be taking pairings only ahead of time via my inbox at harlequinpictures.tumblr.com or through my E-Mail at [email protected]. (The amount of pairings/groups that we will be taking for this one will be very limited so inquire now!) The information we will require in the E-Mail or Ask will be as follows:

Please keep in mind that, even if you notify us before we officially state that applications are closed, your pairing may not be included. Also, you may not give us the URL of anyone for a photo without their complete consent.
Food:
Tatiana back at the wheel! Now, this is one of the more rule-heavy parts of the meet up.
As stated before, there is absolutely no alcohol/drug use at this meet up. This includes spiking any of the foods you bring with drugs or alcohol. We understand that this is not a common affair but it has occurred in the past and I will not stand for it. As we have notified you, this will result in an immediate ban from this and future Meetups.
I ask that you review this list of potential allergens and label your food contribution(s) with any and all that correspond. (This is not required with candy.)

Still Tatiana. And this is right up my alley again! This is just the fun part of the meetup (besides the photo shoot). But we will still have to lay down the rules. I'm going to list the games here and tell you a bit about the lesser known ones.

(A game of our own making in which the player is blindfolded and given a tasting cup of Faygo. The objective is for said player to taste the drink and guess which flavour of Faygo they are ingesting.)

And Trick's back on the air. This might be my favourite part of the Meetup. During the hour or so in which the Games are being excecuted, everyone is to play the role of their respective cosplay to the best of their ability. Tatiana and I have a great surprise for the best portrayal, so work on your Voice Acting, Persona, and the like! I, for one, have found a disturbing lack of LARP at Homestuck Meetups. I intend to rectify that during this hour. Let's give it a go!
